I’m Johnny Smith, founder of Madrone Yacht Detailing. After years of working on boats throughout the Pacific Northwest, from tenders, ski boats, sailboats and motor yachts, I decided to bring my experience, high standards, and personal touch to my own clients.

Before launching Madrone in 2021, I spent over 15 years with Deckhand Detailing, where I learned the ins and outs of marine detailing care from a variety of expert and lead detailers. That foundation of variety and principles, combined with emerging detail techniques guides me today. At Madrone, it’s not just about making your boat shine, it’s about showing up, doing things right, and helping you take pride in your time on the water.
